動詞加 -ed = 過去式

大部分動詞加 -ed 就變過去式,簡單又直接!

英文大部分動詞都係「規則」嘅 — 想要過去式,直接加 -ed 就可以。記住:加咗 -ed,件事就「已完成、發生過」。

一般規則

verb + ed

大部分動詞直接加 -ed:play → played, watch → watched, want → wanted

肯定句 Affirmative

I played football yesterday.
我琴日踢咗波。
She watched a movie last night.
佢琴晚睇咗一套戲。
We visited grandma last Sunday.
我哋上個星期日去咗婆婆度。
He cleaned his room this morning.
佢今朝執過間房。
They cooked dinner together.
佢哋一齊煮過晚飯。
I listened to music after school.
我放學後聽過音樂。

e 結尾嘅動詞

去 e 加 d

如果動詞最後已經有 e,只加 d:like → liked, dance → danced, use → used

肯定句 Affirmative

I liked that movie a lot.
我好鍾意嗰套戲。
She danced at the party.
佢喺派對上跳過舞。
We used a new pen.
我哋用過一支新筆。
He lived in Hong Kong last year.
佢舊年住過香港。
They phoned me yesterday.
佢哋琴日打過電話俾我。

輔音 + y 結尾

y → ied

如果 y 前面係輔音字母(例如 t, d, l, n, r 等),y 變 i 再加 ed:study → studied, carry → carried

肯定句 Affirmative

I studied English last night.
我琴晚溫過英文。
She carried the bag for me.
佢幫我揹過個袋。
We hurried to school.
我哋趕咗去學校。
He copied the homework.
佢抄過功課。
They tried the new game.
佢哋試過新遊戲。

短母音 + 雙寫 (進階)

雙寫輔音 + ed

如果動詞係「短母音 + 輔音」+ y/其他輔音收尾,要雙寫最後個輔音再 + ed:stop → stopped, plan → planned, hug → hugged

肯定句 Affirmative

I stopped the car.
我停咗車。
She planned a party.
佢計劃咗一個派對。
We hugged the dog.
我哋攬咗隻狗。
He dropped the ball.
佢跌咗個波。
They chatted for hours.
佢哋傾咗幾個鐘頭偈。

母音 + y 結尾

直接加 ed

如果 y 前面係母音字母(a, e, i, o, u),直接加 ed 唔使變 y:play → played, stay → stayed, enjoy → enjoyed

肯定句 Affirmative

I played football yesterday.
我琴日踢咗波。
She stayed at home last Sunday.
佢上個星期日留咗喺屋企。
We enjoyed the movie.
我哋睇得好開心。
He obeyed the rules.
佢遵守咗規則。
They delayed the meeting.
佢哋延遲咗會議。
